Amarinth completes API 685 Magnetic Drive vertical pumps

Over the past few weeks, we have been busy completing the assembly and testing of 4m long API 685 latest edition VS4 Magnetic Drive vertical pumps. Magnetic Drive pumps are often used where leakage of the pumped fluid poses a great risk, such as with aggressive or toxic liquids. A hermetically sealed housing contains any process fluid in a closed system and power transmission occurs contact-free through magnets, negating the need for any seal support system.

The pump demonstrates our ability to innovate and engineer solutions that meet complex industrial needs. The API 685 latest edition VS4 pump was a custom design to the unique specifications of the client, tailored to meet their requirements of an ATEX installation.

Meticulous attention to detail is evident as our electrical engineers are captured here just before testing, completing the earth bonding and wiring PT100 temperature probe to transmitter on a specially designed support plate, complete with a sunshade for optimal performance in the very bright conditions where the pump will be installed.

The pump will then be subjected to rigorous testing in our state-of-the-art hydraulic test facility before final client acceptance.
