Amarinth wins largest order to date from Wood Group for 10 filtration pumps to enable them to comply with OSPAR regulations, plus significant investments in power & craneage enhance testbay facilities

On-time, Off-shore solutions:

Amarinth has recently fulfilled its largest and most prestigious order to date, both on-time and on-budget. Anything less was not an option for oil exploration and production company Amerada Hess as they were facing penalties that could amount to tens of millions of pounds by not meeting the regulations imposed by OSPAR to reduce the amount of oil released into the North Sea. Amarinth was contracted by Aberdeen based Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) Limited, who provide a range of service to Amerada Hess, to design and build 10 pumping units to be installed on the Amerada Hess operated Triton Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The pumps are a critical part of the filtration system that will filter and treat produced water prior to discharge. This was Amarinth’s first ever order from Wood Group Engineering and so being able to deliver successfully against such stringent deadlines was especially satisfying for all concerned.

So, if you need a supplier that can meet its deadlines, you know Amarinth will deliver. Just call us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 or e-mail us at

5 times the lifting capacity, 5 times the power:

Off the back of its recent successful orders, Amarinth has made a large investment in its manufacturing and test facility to handle even larger capacity pumps. A new 5 tonne crane has been installed to ease movement around the bay and the power supply has been up-rated to 250kW so that larger pumps can be comprehensively tested to ensure they meet Amarinth’s high quality and inspection criteria prior to shipping.

No matter what size pump you now require, we can design, manufacture and test it – just call us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 or e-mail us at

We invite you to use our new test bay:

Amarinth recently hosted BP in its newly up-graded test bay. This was not to show BP how Amarinth pumps perform, but to enable BP to undertake some development testing of its own new synthetic oils. In addition to meeting the growing needs of Amarinth, our new facility is ideal for those customers that, like BP, are looking to test their own pumping equipment or products but don’t have the in-house capability or capacity.

As part of our drive to support you in as many ways as we can, we invite you to call us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 or e-mail us at to discuss your needs and see if we can help

I hope this e-mail has been of use to you. If you do not wish to receive future updates e-mail with the word “Unsubscribe” in the title.
