Find out more about Amarinth’s participation at ADIPEC 2008, Galfar placing a $1m order for 10 API 610 VS4 vertical sump pumps, and Amarinth’s new agent in Oman – Al Ansari

Last month marked a significant milestone as Amarinth exhibited for the first time at the ADPIEC conference in the United Arab Emirates. We also took this opportunity to finalise a $1M order from Galfar Engineering and Construction, once again underlining our standing in the oil and gas industry within the Middle East.
Amarinth has recently returned from exhibiting at the 13th bi-annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) that took place during the first week in November. Some 39,000 industry personnel from 89 different countries visited the conference over its 4 days to talk with 1,500 exhibiting companies. One visitor was Gordon Brown who was accompanied by Cabinet colleagues Lord Mandelson and Ed Miliband and a business delegation of senior CEOs representing leading UK companies. With an API 610 VS4 Vertical Sump pump on the stand and plenty of literature highlighting our innovative approach to pump design, the Amarinth stand proved to be very busy throughout the conference and in addition to finalising a new order and formalising an agent agreement, many excellent contacts were made.
ADIPEC provided the backdrop for Amarinth to finalise one its largest orders to date with Galfar Engineering and Construction of Abu Dhabi. The $1M order is for the design,
manufacture, and commissioning of 10 super duplex API 610 VS4 Vertical Sump pumps. The pumps are a key component in the project known as ‘Closed Drains System Modifications’ at the Bab Plant which is owned and operated by the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil
Operations (ADCO), and for which Galfor has won the EPC contract. The project will improve the operability and safety of the existing facilities and encompass the provision of a closed drain system comprising of a drain vessel in a concrete pit with duty stand-by pumps and piping. The key factor in Galfor awarding this contract to Amarinth was the combination of price competitiveness, lead time and product quality match. Amarinth will be supplying the pumps in just 30 – 35 weeks. To find out more about how Amarinth can deliver API 610 pumps in the shortest lead time in the industry,
