Protect System

Last year Amarinth acquired Protect System, a company that it had been working with on a number of customer contracts. Protect System specialises in high quality seal systems adapted to suit a customers specific needs. The products are designed and manufactured to PED 97/23/EC, which is the mandatory harmonisation of pressure equipment design throughout the EEC. During its 20 years in business, the company has refined solutions ranging from a basic thermosyphen vessel, to fully compliant Zone 1 vessels with inbuilt condition monitoring. The transfer of the business to Amarinth’s HQ is now complete and plans are in place to develop the Protect System brand to deliver sealing solutions across a broad range of equipment, both from Amarinth and other companies.

So, for any of your seal system requirements we can provide the complete service, just call us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 or e-mail us at We will be announcing more developments soon, so keep looking on the website for updates or register your interest to receive updates on this or other developments

ATEX - only four-months to go to achieve compliance

If you manage equipment that is operating in a potentially explosive atmosphere, you will have heard of ATEX. This is the legalisation that must be adhered to for any plant or equipment operating in such an environment. But are you aware that you now have only four-months left to comply with the ATEX regulations. Manufacturers of equipment are responsible for ensuring that their products are safe, but you, as an end-user, are also responsible for ensuring that the correct equipment is purchased for your particular hazardous area and is installed, maintained and operated correctly. All Amarinth products manufactured for use in an ATEX zone have been independently approved by an accredited third party so you can be confident that our products are safe and fully conformant to ATEX requirements.

We can also help you in assessing your needs to ensure that you are fully compliant by July this year contact us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 for a discussion or e-mail us at There us also an informative white paper on our website

I hope this e-mail has been of use to you. If you do not wish to receive future updates e-mail with the word “Unsubscribe” in the title.

Yours sincerely,
Oliver Brigginshaw,
Managing Director
