Looking forward

The world has been through a difficult period and we are looking forward to some normality returning through 2010. However, in 2009 we had a successful year and delivered into a number of prestigious and demanding projects, completing them on-time and on-budget and thanks to you, our customers, we have a healthy order book and some more interesting projects on the horizon.

$4M orders from Petrofac

Underlining its on-going growth in the Middle-East, Amarinth recently secured orders for $4M (USD) of pumps from Petrofac, one of the largest EPC contractors in the world. The ASAB project, the biggest on-shore project ever awarded in the region, is to upgrade existing facilities enabling the operator Abu Dhabi Company for Oil Operations (ADCO) to increase production capacity to a peak rate of 720,000 barrels per day of stabilised crude oil. The pumps will operate in particularly demanding conditions, including low NPSH duties. The order included:

  • 33 API 610 OH2 Horizontal pumps and VS4 Vertical sump pumps
  • 8 API 601 OH2 Horizontal pumps
  • Amarinth Protect System seal support systems
  • Innovative in-pump gulley sucker arrangement

For more details see the press release or for more information about our API 610 pumps, call us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 or e-mail us at

Expanded factory and test facilities

With its increasing order book, Amarinth has undertaken a major investment in new facilities that will increase capacity by 150% over and above existing facilities. The new building comprises:

  • State-of-the-art assembly facilities with a fully integrated 5 tonne crane
  • A new test rig with multiple connections to the main test tank which can cope with flows of up to 1650m3/hr
  • Fully automated test facilities with electronic actuators and telemetry
  • Two 5 metre deep sumps allowing for full length testing of vertical sump pumps up to 7 metres

Industry leading document management

Amarinth has just completed its new document management system, designed entirely in-house, which promises to deliver significant benefits to contractors and operators, particularly those subject to penalty payments and retentions related to product documentation. The new document management system:

  • Ensures that contractors, operators and suppliers alike are clear from the outset what the scope of documentation is
  • Give customers the ability to track all of their documents and relevant status at any time of day or night through a secure project web enabled interface
  • Delivers a full audit trail for every document including document transmittals
  • Allows customers to download documents that have been lost or when their own copy is not easily accessible
  • Boasts an extensive document library enabling project specific documents to be created swiftly and brought together with standard documents at the click of a mouse
  • Enables a significant proportion of the contract documentation to be sent for approval within days of the customer placing their order

For more information about the new system see the press release or to discuss this further call us on +44 (0)1394 462 120 or e-mail us at
