Amarinth expand to gain a firm foothold in the Norwegian North Sea sector

Amarinth, a leading company specialising in the design, application and manufacture of pumps and associated equipment used in the petrochemical industry, has underlined its expanding export business with the appointment of a new agent in the Scandinavian market, TUROteknikk AS of Norway. This new relationship has already yielded a significant order from DONG Energy, the Nordic’s leading energy group.

Following on from the recent appointment of Chris Ryan as export manager, the selection of TUROteknikk, based near Oslo, Norway, enables Amarinth to establish a firm foothold in the Scandinavian market, with a particular focus on business within the active Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Amarinth can now mirror the successful strategies that have seen it grow to a dominant provider to the oil and gas industry in the UK sector.

This new partnership with TUROteknikk has already delivered a significant order that will see Amarinth supplying three new API 610 pumps to DONG Energy. These pumps will replace worn out Girdlestone water injection pumps that are used on oil platforms in the North Sea Siri field. The pumps, installed in the most arduous of conditions, once again demonstrate why Amarinth has become synonymous with providing North Sea operators with highly reliable, robust pumping solutions delivered on tight timescales.

Oliver Brigginshaw, Managing Director of Amarinth, commented: “Despite the well discussed downturn in the UK economy there are still plenty of opportunities for business in the North Sea. With oil prices at an all time high, Amarinth is better placed than most to capitalise on new opportunities, particularly following our new agency agreement with TUROteknikk.”
