Amarinth end of year update December 2016

The stability of recent months in the price of oil with a worldwide agreement to reduce production has seen a positive increase in pump enquiry requests in the final quarter of 2016.

Although the price of oil is still a long way off previous highs, it is now probably more realistic that a gradual upward trend is on the horizon, and this increase in activity appears a more positive sign that the industry is moving towards re-igniting new project opportunities again.

Green shoots of recovery for oil and gas projects

The stability of recent months in the price of oil with a worldwide agreement to reduce production has seen a positive increase in pump enquiry requests in the final quarter of 2016. Although the price of oil is still a long way off previous highs, it is now probably more realistic that a gradual upward trend is on the horizon, and this increase in activity appears a more positive sign that the industry is moving towards re-igniting new project opportunities again.
We are particularly pleased to have completed challenging projects during 2016 such as the Mariner skid package for deployment in the North Sea. Watch our interesting time lapse video of its assembly & performance test.

New Export Sales Manager

We made a number of appointments over this year to strengthen our design team and most recently we have invested in a new position of Export Sales Manager. With increasing orders such as that from Siirtec Nigi in Italy and Fjords Processing in France, both for the Al Dabb’iya Facilities Development Phase III project, our new Export Sales Manager, Nathan Ireland will be responsible for the development of new territories, initially looking to build on these recent successes for Amarinth within Europe.

For more information you can contact Nathan on nathan.ireland@amarinth.com or call him on tel: +44 (0)1394 462 122 or mob: +44 (0)7787 530 823 if you have an enquiry you need help with.

Supporting engineers in the field

We understand the need for maintenance and support engineers to have access to information that will enable them to maintain and repair pumps effectively and ensure that they continue to deliver long-term reliability. To support those engineers we have embarked on producing "how to " videos to assist their activities and have just uploaded three videos to our YouTube channel (with a further three to be released in the near future) which are related to maintaining VS4 pumps:

    • refurbishment of line bearing flush recirculation pipework
    • setting impeller clearances and
    • filling oil lubricated thrust bearings

We will be adding even more videos over the coming year, so visit our YouTube channel, AmarinthPumps to view all the videos. You can also subscribe to be notified when new ones are added.

Looking ahead

As we approach the end of 2016 we have been looking ahead to the coming year. We have a number of exciting plans that are now underway including a new territory manager for the Gulf region to add further weight to our organisation in the Middle East, and also a new product that is currently going through design. We look forward to sharing more news on these and other developments through 2017.

I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year and thank you all for your support and interest in Amarinth. We look forward to supporting your on-going pumping needs and requirements, whether that is for a complex bespoke pump or simply a replacement shaft.
