Amarinth consolidates in Middle East with another million dollar order

Amarinth, working with its Middle East agent Nama Development Enterprises, has once again secured a significant order for its API610 VS4 vertical sump pumps. Following a $3.5M order earlier this year, this new order of $1M has been placed by Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC) for 3 high alloy vertical sump pumps for use in the Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd (GASCO) on-shore oil operations at Habshan in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Amarinth will supply the API610 VS4 vertical sump pumps as part of the Habshan Gas Complex Expansion Project, a $1 billion expansion of the existing Habshan Gas Complex, one of the world's largest gas processing plants. The Offshore Associated Gas (OAG) Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package will process gas brought from the Das Island facilities for processing at Habshan. These pumps will extract the toxic hydrocarbon liquids from the drainage tanks for recycling or disposal.

The three API pumps are manufactured from special high alloy to a bespoke design and will be delivered to site ready for commissioning in just 34 weeks from order. The pumps will be supported in the region by Nama who will also be overseeing the commissioning and installation as well as providing first level technical support.

On the back of these latest orders, Amarinth has also strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the recruitment of an Export Sales Manager, Chris Ryan. He will be responsible for promoting Amarinth within the region and managing its growing network of agents and partners.

Joining Amarinth from Eimco Water Technologies, Chris brings with him an excellent track record of selling capital equipment into the oil and gas and petrochemical industry. A chemical engineering graduate Chris has worked in the pump industry for much of his career and his intention on joining Amarinth is clear: "I intend to use my experience to build on the considerable success Amarinth has already gained in the Middle East, continuing to grow its presence in the region and maintaining its pedigree as a major player in the API market. I am extremely excited to have joined such a dynamic and innovative pump company."

Oliver Brigginshaw, Managing Director of Amarinth, added: “We are delighted to announce this new order which clearly establishes Amarinth as a leading supplier of pumping solutions in the Middle East. We are particularly pleased that once again our API610 pumps have been selected to work within one of world’s most arduous environments. This order is a further endorsement that organisations in the region now have a viable replacement for the existing Girdlestone pumps that many had come to rely on. Following the appointment of Chris Ryan to oversee our business in the region, we are now looking forward to expanding our operations further and we are reviewing plans to open an office in the Middle East, perhaps as soon as next year.”
